Air ambulance called to fallen horse rider in Hadleigh

A woman who fell off her horse in Hadleigh this afternoon (Thursday) has suffered serious injuries.

The East of England Ambulance Service was called to the incident in Glanville Road at 1.30pm.

The woman suffered a suspected fractured pelvis and was attended by an emergency first response paramedic, land ambulance crew and hazardous areas crew.

The Essex Air Ambulance was also called, but was not needed. The woman was taken to Ipswich Hospital at 3.50pm by land ambulance.

Police were called to locate the horse, which bolted and was found in the grounds of Hadleigh Community Primary School in Station Road.
