BRAVE volunteers from Sudbury’s Silkworm pub completed an abseil to raise money for a charity that supports people with learning difficulties.
Staff from the pub in East Street were among 16 people taking part in the abseil at Ipswich Hospital on Sunday, with proceeds going to the Suffolk Befriending Scheme.
Myra Cawtheray, a volunteer co-ordinator for the charity, said: “We had good weather and everyone said they would do it again.
“It is great when people take time off from their work schedules to support a local charity in their community.”
Suffolk Befriending Scheme runs drop-in centres across the county four days a week and encourages people to be a part of their own community.
