A real feast for the eyes

A FEW deft swishes of the brush and the masterpiece already starts to take shape.

Borley artist Vernon J Lever was special guest at the Acton Art Exhibition on Bank Holiday Monday as he demonstrated his watercolour painting techniques, capturing the rolling fields and vast skies of our countryside.

The exhibition in All Saints’ Church, Acton, gathers together the works of 50 East Anglian artists, including Lever, Reg Siger, Kevin Franks, Sue Eaton and Michael Norman, as well as photographer Robin Lowe.

With original works covering the walls and prints filling the pews, there is a real feast for the eyes for visitors.

All the artwork is for sale, with proceeds going to the church.

The exhibition continues until Sunday and is open from 11am to 4pm tomorrow and Saturday, and from noon to 5pm on Sunday.
