A SUDBURY business is hoping avid readers will donate their unwanted books for a good cause.
Boydens estate agency in North Street is a drop-off point for books being sold later this year at a popular book fair in aid of the children’s charity NSPCC.
The company sponsors the event and, as the number of donations are down on the same time last year, it decided to step in and make some of it offices book drop-off points.
Books can be donated up until September 16 with the fair taking place in Colchester in October.
Last year, a total of 35,000 donated books, CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaws from all over the region helped raise £26,000 for the charity.
Managing partner David Boyden said: “Our offices are all located in easy-to-reach locations so we hope we can make a big difference to the number of books being donated.
“We’ve sponsored the book fair for many years now and are delighted to play whatever part we can.”
Anyone unable to get to a drop-off point can call 01206 271616 to organise a collection.
