Steve's tidy litter hobby

Sudbury's new superhero doesn't need a cape, or underpants over his trousers, just an endless supply of rubbish bags.
When Steve Andrews took part in an organised clean-up a few weeks ago he was so horrified by what he saw he transformed himself into a one-man litter patrol.
Now he gives up three hours every Saturday to clear the verges in one of the town's litter blackspots.
Steve, 38, a quilter at Lavenham Leisure in Sudbury, got the idea after joining in a litter pick in Sudbury a few weeks ago.
"It made me realise how much rubbish there was about," he said.
Steve's target patch is a 15-minute walk from his home in Crayford Road.
"I've been doing it for three weeks now. I do the same route every week, starting in Richard Burn Way, round the roundabout and down Springlands Way," he said.
"It's mostly plastic bags, sweet papers and cans. I get two or three big rubbish sacks full each time.
"When you think about it, it means every week people are dropping about three bagfuls of litter in that one area.
"I shall definitely carry on doing it, because when you see it looking tidy, it actually makes you feel quite good."
And he is not deterred by bad weather. "The first week I did it, it snowed. But I still carried on," he said.
