Fans of some of the nation's favourite book characters are in for a treat tomorrow.
Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Jemima Puddleduck will help celebrate Memories of Beatrix Potter Day at Melford Hall.

The afternoon event on Friday will mark Jemima Puddle-Duck's 100th birthday while exploring the life and times of Beatrix Potter – especially her love of Melford Hall.

A Jemima Puddle-Duck figure given to Elizabeth Hyde Parker by Beatrix Potter will be on display during the event.

Children will get the chance to paint and draw characters with the help of artist Vernon Lever, while storyteller Barbara Hamilton will read many of the children's tales.

Prizes for the best painting or drawing will be awarded by Lady Hyde Parker at 3pm.

Memories of Beatrix Potter will run from 1.30pm to 5pm. There will be a small charge to cover some activities.
