Fairy princesses and pirates were out in force as a playgroup held its summer party to mark the end of term.
Youngsters and staff at Acton Playgroup were also celebrating an excellent Ofsted report which was published earlier this year.

More than 40 children in fancy dress, plus parents and carers, joined in the fun.

"Our theme for the whole event was fairy princesses and pirates," said leader Kim Schwenk.

"It went very well and the children had a lovely time. There were lots of activities including making crowns, wands and swords, a fancy dress contest, and a colouring competition.

"We had an outstanding Ofsted report this year so we thought the children and staff deserved a special celebration," she said.
