Shoppers at a Sudbury supermarket got a surprise at the weekend as their weekly shop was spiced up with the appearance of a celebrity chef.
Jean-Christophe Novelli, the multi Michelin star chef dropped into Tesco in Springlands Way on Saturday to treat customers to an array of dishes which he created in store.
“People were really interested in the different ingredients being used and I hope many of them will go home and try the recipes themselves,” said Mr Novelli.
Jason Dunt, deputy manager at the branch, said there was a “fantastic atmosphere” at the event.
“The cookery demonstrations were really busy and generated lots of interest from customers,” he said.
“I am thrilled with the positive feedback received.”
