Three workers at a Sudbury bank were thankful for a safe landing after taking part in a charity skydive.

Carla Bond, Hayley Mills and Rob Kavanagh, from Lloyds on Market Hill, all completed a 10,000-foot leap of faith on Sunday.

The trio were taking part in the challenge to raise awareness of the Alzheimer’s Society and have managed to collect £2,100 so far.

“We all got back to the ground safely and that was the most important thing,” said Mrs Bond.

“There was a lot of waiting around on the day and it was good to get it over with in the end.”

The town branch of Lloyds has been raising funds for the charity throughout the year, with cake sales and raffles.

But Mrs Bond said she would be happy if the skydive experience remained a one-off.

“I would not do it again, but Rob and Hayley both said they would,” she said.
