The under-threat Stour Valley Centre is having a sausage supper and bingo at 6pm on Monday, May 19.
Tickets cost £4 and numbers are limited. Call chairman Valerie Moulton on 01787 371296, or 373322 to book.

Last week the Free Press revealed that the centre, in Belle Vue house, Sudbury, is on the brink of closing because of lack of funds.

Mrs Moulton is continuing to appeal for volunteers and donations as she tries to keep the centre open.

"We have not had much response to last week's article and things are desperate," she said. "I would appeal to anyone who can help to contact me."
