SUDBURY Town Council has been told buying a road sign that warns motorists when they are speeding will cost £15,000.
Mayor Peter Goodchild asked the council to look into buying a sign that flashes what speed you are travelling at if you are over the speed limit, similar to one currently used in Halstead.

Councillors have also been warned that if money was spent on a speeding sign, regular maintenance costs would also have to be included.

The town’s highways and footpaths committee agreed to postpone a decision until later in the year and in the meantime ask Suffolk County Council for help paying for it.
