Cash grant to aid villages

Funds have been secured for a five-year programme to support groups across Suffolk.
Suffolk ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England)has £450,000 from Big Lottery Basis.

Its Accumulator scheme will be launched on April 1 and advise organisations on raising income.

Suffolk ACRE tackles economic, social and environmental needs by promoting communal self-help.

It helped set up the Long Melford Good Neighbour scheme this month.
