Demands for extra cash to boost a town's tourist industry have been made by councillors.
Hadleigh Town Council says it was time the town was given the same level of investment by Babergh District Council as other towns and villages in the district.

Jan Byrne, a town councillor, said: "Sudbury, Lavenham and Flatford receive £30,000 to £40,000 per year more from Babergh to run and promote their tourist industry, whereas we come in at under £3,000."

At a town council meeting on Thursday, members agreed to ask Babergh for a yearly investment of £40,000.

Mrs Byrne said: "This would give us enough money to run a tourist information centre in the library, with staff, from 10am to 4pm, five days a week."
