Bloomin' marvellous at Cavendish school

Despite the cold snap, spring is on the horizon and green-fingered children at Cavendish Primary School are already beginning to see the fruits of their winter labour.
Youngsters at the school have been working hard, planting and seeding their new play area.

And with the onset of spring, seeds and bulbs have begun to grow.

The first to show are colourful daffodils.

Children spent the last week of term showing off the flowers and designing colourful easter eggs which they sold for £1 each to raise money for Wateraid, a charity that works in third world countries.
