Praise for ramp

THE new entrance to Sudbury library really deserves the highest praise. The design and workmanship do not detract in any way from the beautiful old corn exchange building. It must have been quite a challenge for the architect.

The main doors can be left open in warm weather and a bell could easily be fitted. The staff are only a few yards from the door.

It was such a pleasant surprise to see the steps and slope for the first time as the high security fence was impossible to peep through – and I did try!

However, let’s hope the rolling improvement plan rolls on quickly and more suitable doors can be installed – then it will be perfect.
