WALKING GODDESSES: Win Cranford, Caroline Mountstephen, Janyne Moreton, Eileen Elston and Jacquie Street will be taking on a sponsored walk for charity.

WOMEN dressed as Greek goddesses will be taking part in a sponsored walk and enjoying a girls night out at the same time.

A team of women from the St Nicholas Hospice Care shop, in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, will be taking part in the Girls Night Out sponsored walk to raise funds for the hospice.

Shop manager Jayne Moreton will be joined by her daughter and 10 other volunteers from the shop, aged from 26 to 80.

She said: “I hope more teams and women from the Sudbury area sign up.

“The Girls Night Out event is a social thing as it really gives you the chance to get to know the people in your team.

“We all know it is going to be good fun for a great cause.”

More than 600 women have signed up to take part in the event in Bury St Edmunds on September 15, but a further 400 are being sought to take part.

Registration costs £15, which includes a T-shirt and a pair of flashing bunny ears.
