RECRUITMENT FREEZE: Staff at SRL Technical Services in Little Waldingfield spent Monday lunchtime clearing snow and making a new member of the team.
Predictions of a white weekend were accurate as Sudbury and the surrounding area was covered in a white blanket of snow.
Monday saw 18 schools in the area closed due to the bad weather, although only Stoke-by-Nayland Primary School was closed for a second day due to problems with the heating.
The Met Office forecast freezing and 1°C temperatures for today and tomorrow, dropping as low as -5° overnight but no more snow is predicted as Saturday is expected to be around three degrees warmer.
