Fundraising pub tops £5,000 for charity

More than £5,000 has been donated to soldiers charity Help for Heroes thanks to the efforts of pub regulars in Assington.

Bungee jumps have been completed, beards grown and shaved off and a garden party organised for the cause at The Shoulder of Mutton pub in The Street.

Last Monday, a cheque for £5,300 was presented to Domini Pocock from the charity.
