Fire crews battle Cornard blaze

FIREFIGHTERS battled a chimney fire in Great Cornard for nearly three hours.

Two crews from Sudbury fire station attended the fire at a house in Prospect Hill at around 10.15pm yesterday.

On arrival the fire was discovered to be in a chimney breast between the ground and first floor of the house.

The fire was brought under control by 1.15am this morning.
