Hadleigh is a lively market town, which has retained its character thanks to its numerous independent businesses. In a recent survey Hadleigh was recognised as one of the most distinctive towns in the country. It is also provides a wide variety of events, clubs and organisations to keep the community busy.
Long Melford & Lavenham 
Kentwell Hall at Long Melford is one of the many attractions situated not far from Sudbury
Not far from Sudbury are the picturesque villages of Lavenham and Long Melford whose historic charms draw visitors from around the world. Among attractions are Lavenham’s 16th century Guildhall and Long Melford’s Kentwell and Melford Halls, while the villages are also home to an array of interesting shops, galleries, pubs and tearooms.

Our campaign to highlight all the best elements of our great town. It was launched with the help of former Mayor Nigel Bennett (pictured), who wholeheartedly backs the campaign. He said: “Sudbury’s strength is its people. I am proud of Sudbury because we never lie down. Those who tried to impose car parking charges, fire station cuts and hospital cuts, whether they won or lost, knew we had given them a battle.” See where we've been and who we've spoken to so far...
